Held every two years, photokina is the world’s largest international photography and imaging trade fair, running from September 18 - 23. photokina is a key event for Canon helping them build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
Imagination has designed and built the Canon stand including delivering the customer journey, taking inspiration from Canon’s new ‘Power to…’ advertising slogan (conceived by Imagination), and connecting fans in a live experience that celebrates the power of image under the strap line of ‘Power to connect’.
Visitors to the Canon stand were able to engage with the brand in a number of ways. Using wi-fi enabled cameras images which were then launched on to Facebook that featured some of the specially commissioned recycled art shooting subjects. A daily news report ‘Canon Live’ was also uploaded onto Canon’s YouTube channel showing Canon’s unique Power to connect. Finally, there were numerous opportunities to touch and try products, visitors could also learn from Canon Ambassadors in the auditorium.

We feel this year we have delivered more than just an event; we have created an interactive experience that allows visitors on-line and in Cologne to experience the brand first hand”, said Guy Stevenson, Canon Client Services Director at Imagination.
