We received great news at the Revolution awards last Friday night as we were Highly Commended for the Travel Stations we created for oneworld.
Imagination was briefed to engage premium business travellers and increase awareness of the global airline alliance, oneworld. Imagination created ‘Travel Stations’ – a series of interactive installations geared at the smart-phone and iPod generation. Travellers could use the Travel Stations before boarding a flight to access data, text pictures, language guides and audio casts to their mobile phones and laptops. With tips and advice from Lonely Planet on where to sleep, eat, relax, what to see and how to do business, they offered an insider’s view on 28 of the world’s most popular destinations.
Launching in September 2008 in Amsterdam, Brussels and two locations in Milan, the Travel Stations averaged around 5,000 visits per week. Over 90% of the visitors surveyed described the Travel Stations as ‘exciting, informative, or interesting’.
